We recommend that you check the pre-created language files that come with Avada before attempting to create your own translations. These files have all been provided by our stunning user base and the number of character sets we translate may differ. Stage 1 - Here you can get language files from our GitHub Repo. Stage 2 - Click on the "Clone or Download" icon in the top right hand corner and select "Download ZIP" to start downloading the language files.

Stage 3 - The file contains three subfolders: Avada, merger nucleus and merger constructor. While the Avada directory contains the most important files for the topic, the other directories contain the necessary plug-ins. Stage 4 - Copy the.po and.mo files of the chosen language into your WordPress installation.

Add the Avada language files to the wp-content/languages/themes directory. In the case of plug-in language files, add them to the wp-content/languages/plugins directory. Save translation files. 5 - Log in to the WP-Admin Dashboard and browse to the Settings panel > General. 6 - Locate the Site Language item and choose the language you just added from the drop-down list.

If you have, for example, added Avada-en_DE.po and .mo, choose 'English' from the drop-down list.

Save your translations files

It is very important to save your translated files in the correct location to ensure that the translated files you have download, generated or processed stay working and healthy. Best way to do this is to save them in the languages subfolder found in the wp-content subfolder. Put your topic files in the wp-content/languages/themes folders.

When you don't have the directory languages streams and themes, just make the directory languages and the directory themes in it. The update of the design does not replace the wp-content directory. If you save your translations here, they will remain unchanged during the update. Keep in mind when saving your language files that the files are different and must contain the name of the topic.

If the language files are in the German language, for example, the filenames are Avada-de_DE.mo and Avada-de_DE.po. Put your plug-in translations in the wp-content/languages/plugins/plugins/directory. When you don't have the directory languages files and plugins, just make the directory languages and the directory Plugins in it. The update of the plug-in does not replace the directory wp-content.

If you save your translations here, they will remain unchanged during the update.
