Which is a template?

Creating my own Blogger template was one of those objectives I wanted to accomplish anyway. Last year I launched my own template page, Alhamdulillah, on which I have so far added more than 10 template files. However, now that I look back, I can recall that there were not so many ressources that were helping me to create my first truly original template, and that there are still not enough ressources on the web.

Many e-mails and user comment inquiries were sent to me to enable me to make a full and extensive contribution about Blogger template development. There were also many bloggers, Facebook, Facebook, Twitter and forum members who asked for a full posting or resources that could help them understanding the fundamentals of blogging template construction.

After seeing all this last night, I resolved to put a posting on my own blogs that will help new designers understanding the fundamentals of Blogger template creation and helping them create their first and only Blogger template. Consider this article as a small course on developing Blogger templates.

However, before you proceed, make sure you have the necessary skill set to create your first template: Which is a template? So before we go any further, let's first say it's a template? Template is a collection of different set of items used to create a system theme.

However, when it comes to creating a web template, this means that they are still very similar. Web templates consist of a headline, contents area, side bar, and bottom line. However, just hold on, there is another thing behind the curtains that is very important, and that is the section of your website that is not shown to the users, but it is very important.

So, first we will be discussing the meaning of the section of a template and how to create it? Save all necessary information about your website in ags. Example: descriptive text, your website name, stylesheets' link, javascript link and details of your site (we will speak about this later). It is also possible to save all your HTML codes in heads.

You have to do it on the blogger. Visit Blogger.com and click the New Blogs Buttons. Enter a name and an adress for your blogs (e.g. example.blogspot.com) and click the Create your own blogswitch. You will now be forwarded to your new blogs automaticly. But before you go any further, put some posts in your brand-new blogs.

Or, if you don't want to have so much trouble posting posts to your recently crafted blogs, just dowload this one. Also, if you want to upload it to your own blogs, go to your Blogger Dashboard-> Preferences -> Other and click the Add Blogs icon as shown below:

When you click the Import your favorite blogs icon, you'll see a new pop-up where you'll find a select a folder icon. Just click on it, load up the download you just uploaded, make sure I'm not a bot and click on the Import Blogs Buttons. Go to the template area of your blogs, click on Edit Html and remove every line of HTML that is in the area.

You have now removed your old template and it is your turn to create your own. Copy the following HTML file and paste it into the Template Notepad of your blogger as shown in the next picture. At the end of the day, we have added the necessary coding, which includes the coding inside the header labels, to tell the web site header to the web page.

Within tag we will insert our style sheet to create our template element. The header area of your template is now fixed and it's moving forward. Don't try to store your template now. This is because your template cannot be stored now because it is not complete. Once we've finished creating the header of our Blogger template, it's your turn to create the template for it.

To do this, we must first create the headers of our templates. Keep in mind that there is a big distinction between the top and bottom of the skull. You place information about your website, such as the website heading, in the heading, and you can place the website icon or the website menus in the heading. In order to create a basic heading for our Blogger template, we will insert the below mentioned coding into this consisting code:

Like I said before, we develop the template of our own design, which is composed of 4 main elements (header, contents area, side bar and footer). Simply copy the source exactly as it is and insert it into the already available source as shown below: Once we've done area and heading within the text field of the text field, it's finally your turn to develop the most important part of our template, the contents area.

In order to create it, simply copy the below mentioned source file and insert it into the already available source file as shown in the next picture: Now, on this point, you should have this piece of coding in the section of your template code: we've created the two most important sections of our Blogger template, the header section and the contents section.

Now, we need to create a side bar, for which we copy the below mentioned coding and insert it under the current coding, as shown below: We' ve now added a side bar and you can easily have as many as you want by repeating the same piece of work.

Once the kernel of our template is created and we just have to insert the bottom line, it's very straightforward for us. If you want to insert a single header into your template with a copyright notice, just copy the below mentioned source file and insert it after all available codes, as shown in the next picture: This is a single header, you can also insert a much extended header with a widget.

Click the Show me your template icon and click the Show me your favorite page. Now, let's begin with the design of the template we just made. First we will reset the template to 0 for the bodys and paddings. To do this we copy the below given style sheet and insert it before the day ]]>, as shown in the next picture : padding:

Now let's begin with the layout of the headers of our template, copy the below mentioned style sheet and insert it shortly before ]]> tag : margin: 00px; padding: 2B25C; color: magenta; text shadow: pxs 2pxs 2pxs 2pxs 2pxs blacks; let's now create the articles section of our Blogger template where all the contents will appear.

Just copy the below given style sheet below and past it right after the previous one ]]> tags. Width: 64%; float: left; type family: sans-serif; border-right: 1x soli #F4EEEEEE; It's your turn to make the template side bar now, but first we need some extensions in the one. Then go back to the Edit HTML area and insert the following HTML as shown in the picture: float: left; width: 35%; background:

2x; x2 Ultimately, we will create the bottom line of our Blogger template. Copy the following arbitrary string and insert it just before the day ]]>. float: left; width: 100%; background: 2B25C; We've done some tuning on our template. At first we created the headline and then the contents area, the side bar and lastly the bottom line of our template.

So after all, our blogger template should look like this: Of course, our template doesn't look too much, but at least we've been able to create a basic template that can be transformed into a much more sophisticated template with some useful changes and enhancements such as creating a new menus and adjusting the widgets.

There are as many changes you can make as you want, but now you know how to create a basic template. So, create your first template and tell us about it in a comment.
