A few parts of the south, including Panama and the Canary Islands, do not take summer time into account. Furthermore, the Uniform Time Act resulted in the establishment of EDT in the United States until the last Sunday in April with effect from 1966. Furthermore, the Energy Industry Act in 2005 introduced a number of further changes which resulted in an increase in summer time and became effective in 2007.
The changes are the same in Canada and the United States of America. The Eastern Standard Time is observed in several places around the globe. A few of the sites are Canada, the United States, Central America and the Pacific Rim. There are six time zone divisions in the land, following suggestions by a Scottish-Canadian rail engineering graduate named Sir Sanford Fleming.
It was also a key player in the development of the world's first time zoning system. In 1916 a municipal decree began the summer time practices in the area. As the United States prolonged its summer time in 2005, the Canadian Provinces followed on various occasions in 2006 and 2007.
Canadas also needs to adjust its transmission schedules to match its six time zone. Much of the viewer resides in the Mountain Time Zone, which helps mitigate some of the problems facing the United States. Most of the time changes are processed by displaying previously captured programmes at locale time.

In addition, six American states are divided between EST and CST (Central Standard Time, UTC-06:00): The state uses EST, but some parts like the Florida Panhandle, located in the eastern part of the Apalachicola River, are not part of it. EST is observed by the whole state throughout the year except in Cincinnati and Louisville, which monitor EDT in early and late summers.
Kentucky's eastern part uses EST, while the west part CST. The majority of countries use EST as statutory time. The Eastern period is often used as the foundation for the "official" time in the United States. Because in this time zones are the nation's main town and its biggest town ( New York Town ).

Liveshows aired in the eastern and eastern center time zone and tape-delayed on the western seaboard, which includes southern California. Others such as CBS This Morning, Today and Good Morning America will be performed using the same methodology, enabling post-production staff to work out any disruptions that may have occurred during the transmission.
Mexico uses four major time zones, one of which corresponds to the EST. This area, known as Zona Sureste, includes the state of Quintana Roo. The state is situated at the south-eastern tip of the state. The location in the eastern part of the Yucatán peninsula also has its benefits.
The Quintana Roo moved to its current time zones on 1 February 2015. There is no summer time observation by the state, so they stay in the CST all year round. A number of economical factors triggered this change in time zone: An important factor was that visitors to places such as Cancun, Cozumel and Playa del Carmen have more time to explore the various sandy areas, bars, restaurants, places of interest and so on.
And in the summermonths they followed the east-daytime. Turks and Caicos Islands initially coincided with this time region, but moved to the Atlantic time region in 2015. Panama, a Central American nation subdivided into ten counties, uses EST throughout the year. Missing daylight saving time is good for those who don't want to get involved with the anger of shifting time.
It is also an important tourism hot spot on which much of its industry is located. A lot of companies and hoteliers profit from being in this time zones, and Panama also offers several attractions to lure new companies into the area. There are, for example, special tourism zones where companies are 100% exempt from tax such as incomes, property and customs duty.
Located in strategic areas, these areas offer many good business opportunities. Note that there are several other time domains within the same offsets at standard time. Those areas use the same area as EST, but have different names: Time Acre - This area is used in South America, mainly in Brazil (which they use throughout the year) and small parts of the Amazon.
While only certain states and parts of the United States within the CST use this time when they are within the summers of the CST area, the hours when they go backwards puts them in the same overset as EST. Columbia Time - Also known as COT, this area has the same offsets as EST, but is only used within the Colombian territory of South America.
Cuban Standard Time - This is another country-specific area known as CST. The Cuban daylight time is maintained during the summers (CDT). Daylight Saving Time on Easter Island - This is a DST-specific time region that drops into the same offsets. Used on Easter Island and Rapa Nui in Chile.
