Synchronization with WordPress | Disqus
Synchronization between WordPress and Disqus can be activated using the WordPress plug-in. As a result, annotations published in Disqus are copied into WordPress's proprietary annotation system so that they appear in both places. Annotations are synchronized with your WordPress data base using a Wordhook 3 or higher methodology. Since Disqus supersedes the WP natively annotated system, this does not alter what will appear on your page when you load Disqus.
Disqus synchronized back to the WP natives annotation system, however, appear when Disqus is no longer present and are incorporated into the sources of the site where they were published. Synchronization is not activated by WordPress plug-in by defaults. In order to allow synchronization, you must either install it automatically in the plug-in or install it manual by creating an interface programming interface (API) to your site configuration and typing in the login information (see below).
After entering your authentication information, select Custom syncing on the plug-in's Custom synchronization page. If you are building an ASP to synchronize annotations, make sure your ASP login information is on the Site Configuration page. Click the Synchronize button to activate the synchronization of annotations. Insert the keys and tokens from the above steps into the right boxes on the Site Configuration page of your WordPress plug-in preferences.
On the Synchronize page, click and choose'Synchronize your remarks manually'. To interrupt annotation synchronization, just click Break Auto Synchronization on the syncing page of the WordPress plug-in. Each time a voiceover is published or processed, the voiceover is synchronized with WordPress.
Support all annotation states, incl. authorized, outstanding, spam messages and erased annotations. Unless this links returns or loads anything, something blocks external resources like Disqus from sending queries to your site. When the REST-API for Disqus or your whole website is disabled, you should make sure that it is on.
Here you can obey directions to activate the REST-API and correct errors why it may not be activated: 2. this can also be due to a problem with one of your recent plug-ins (often a safety plugin). This can be tested by deactivating all plug-ins except Disqus provisionally. As soon as all topics (or suspicious topics) are deactivated, try clicking the Synchronize button in the Disqus plug-in to synchronize your comment.
In addition, you can make sure that there is no automatic synchronization blocker on your website. When the automatic synchronization still does not work, we suggest to synchronize your comment in the Disqus plug-in by hand. Failure to use hand synchronization will result in you having to make sure that you have your trust domains specified in your API applicationsettings.
The synchronization is still not working correctly? As an alternative, if you have problems copy annotations from WordPress to Disqus, please read the section Extracting annotations from WordPress to Disqus. In order to ensure that your comment is up to date, we suggest using the Manually Synchronize feature in the Disqus WP plug-in preferences. You should override the previously synchronized comment to ensure that the right comment is being synchronized.
In order to avoid that your annotations are synchronized silently in the near term, you can deactivate this function in the synchronization options of the WordPress plug-in.
