E-mail design template

Sending an e-mail notification from a template You can use e-mail template to create e-mail with information that does not vary from e-mail to e-mail. Write a news item and store it as a template, then re-use it at any time and add new information as needed. This tutorial assumes that you have already set up and stored a template for your news.

Proceed as follows to use an e-mail messaging template: In the New Elements menu, click More Elements > More Elements > select forms.

From the Choose Form, in Look In dialogue field, click User templates in File System. Opens the standard template directory. Folders are located in c:\users\username\username\appdata\roaming\microsoft\templates (under Windows 7 and later platforms). When your template is stored in another directory, click Browse, and then choose the template. Choose the template, and then click Open.

Add or remove any changes to the To, Cc, or Bcc fields, as well as any changes to the topic and text body. Make any changes to the To, Cc, or Bcc fields. Notice: The changes made are not stored in the template. When you use the Save command, a draft of your news item is created, but the template is not updated.

If you want to refresh the template, perform the Save a New Template as Template for Creating an E-mail Mail Event procedure. From the File menu, point to New, and then click Mail Notification. Key combination To generate a new e-mail notification, hit Ctrl+Shift+M. Specify the desired contents in the text of the messages. From the Save As dialogue field, in the Save as typ drop-down list, click Outlook Template.

Enter a name for your template in the File name field, and then click Save. 4. When your template is stored in another location, click Browse, and then choose the template. Choose the template, and then click Open. 1- Choose the template you want to use. Add or change any of the addressees in the To, Cc, or Bcc field, subject, or text you want.

Hint: Changes you make are not stored in the template. When you use the Save button, a draft of your news item is created, but the template is not updated. In order to upgrade the template, use the procedure in the first section, Creating a template, starting with 3.
