Filaggrin feeding: Impact of L-histidine supplements on the treatment of epithelial atitis The AD aetiology has been associated with defects in the filaggrin dermal isolate. Inside the shells of mammals, L-histidine is quickly built into the filaggrin. Filaggrin protection then activates L-histidine as an important NMF. In-vitro investigations were performed to study the effect of l-histidine on filaggrin proliferation and barriers in dermal equivalents of humans.

Another goal was to investigate the effect of everyday verbal L-histidine supplements on the seriousness of the condition in AD adults.
