Adding a dataset with GoDaddy
He is one of the world's most trusted and respected domains administrators with over 40 million domains under his belt. Either you can create a new A-entry, which is the focus of this item. Suppose you are signed in to your GoDaddy account, click your GoDaddy user name at the top right of the page, and select Administer Domains in the Control Panel Links column: They should see the My Domains link. In order to start, go to the Manage Domains interface: Then click the gear symbol in the upper right hand edge of the map for the particular domains for which you want to modify the A-entry. Now you should be in the DNS management screen for the selected domainname.
From the DNS management GUI, search for the Records section. When you do not see the full Records section, it is as if you are already using user-defined name servers. From the Records section, find the A data set in the Type columns. Use the pencil symbol to modify the A entry: Then click Administer next to the Domain you want to add:
Pay attention to the IPv4-Adresse field. This IP is the one you will use for your A-Record at GoDaddy: This guide applies to the GoDaddy extended listview. First, make sure you are in the My Top Level User Interface: Then click the drop-down menu to the right of the selected domainname and select Manage DNS:
Search for the Records section in the DNS management panel (click here if you don't see the entire Records section). Locate dataset A under Types and click the pencil symbol to modify it: Then search for the IPv4-Adresse field. The IP adress is the one you will use for your A-entry.
The following is how you can use GoDaddy to create an A listing for a given slave name. If you don't see the Full Records section of GoDaddy, what happens? Unless you see the full Records section of GoDaddy, it's probably because you're already using customized name servers for your domain: When you see this error, you must submit your name servers back to GoDaddy before you can create an A entry.
