To register your name server (DNS) with Godaddy

Stage 1: Sign in to your GoDaddy accounts. After logging into your Dashboard, choose Admin in the Domains pane. Stage 2: For the name server (DNS) for which you want to register the name server, choose the top right mouse button, followed by the " Administer DNS" selection from the displayed field. 3: Choose "Settings" from the above tab, followed by "Manage" under Hostnames.

Choose "Add" to finalize the registration of the host name "". Choose "Add Hostname" and retry with "ns2" and the same IP adress. There is no need to use more than one IP for your name servers, as in this case they are both housed on the same system. 5: Choose "Save" and you are done!

Sign in to your GoDaddy Account Manager. Go to the Extended Functions page of the DNS and click Hostnames. Under IP Adress, type the first privately-owned name servers IP Adress that is specified in the welcome e-mail. For the second home name servers, follow step 5-8. Please note: It may take up to 48 hrs for GoDaddy to register your update, but for .com and .net domain name registrations it will usually take 4 to 8 hrs.

After successful registration, you can configure all your domainnames to use the privat name-servers that you have already register. Remember, like most name changes, it takes an extra 24 to 48 hrs (sometimes faster) for this modification to spread and become useable. These delays apply to all registrars of all registrars, not just GoDaddy.
