Do Google Wifi supports bridge modes? Yes, but it only works if you use a Wifi point. When you create a meshed net with more than one wireless point, your primary wireless point must not be in bridge state. When it is in bridge modus, you loose some of the most important functions of Google Wifi. Can I activate the bridge modus? There are two ways to do this if you're using a Google Wifi point and you' re having trouble with NAT: Best way to duplicate NAT is to activate bridge on your modem/router combination.
Login to your local computer or modem/router combination and find its preferences to activate bridge state. Please note: Bridge only works if you are using a standalone Google Wifi point. It' protection is most efficient - and in some cases only efficient - when all your data transfer goes through your primary WLAN point (instead of another router). When you have a third-party provider that routers, you can connect a primary wireless point to it and then "network" more wireless points downstream.
Do you still want to turn your main WLAN point into a bridge? Launch the Google Wifi application. Touch the Preferences page, then touch Network and General. Touch Extended connectivity > Equipment modes > Your WLAN point > Bridge modes. If your WAN IP is a private IP location, you cannot put your Wifi Point into bridge state.
In order to activate bridge modus, there must be another round robin between your modems and your Wifi-Point. When the WAN of your Wifi point has a IP, i.e. it is directly linked to your modems. The Bridging method is not available in the application in this case.
