JHEINEN/gr: GR Framework: a graphics libary for visualization apps
It is a general -purpose frame for cross-platform visualisation application. Provides designers with a small, mobile and stable graphics libary for their work. The application areas reach from publication-ready 2-D diagrams to the presentation of complicated 3-D scenarios. The GR is mainly built on an implemented Graphical Kernel System (GKS) and OpenGL.
It can be quickly and simply incorporated into your application as a stand-alone system (e.g. via the Python and Julia mechanisms). You can use the GR- Framework in mandatory application development environments or integrate it into advanced object-oriented frameworks, especially GUI tools. The GR is characterised by its high level of inter-operability and can be used with state-of-the-art web technology.
GR frameworks are ideal for real-time or waveform environment. Beginning with the 0.6 releases, GR can be used as a backup application for Matrixplotlib and significantly improves the performances of Matrixplotlib or PyPlot Python and Julia based software. GR 0.10.0 or later support GR support line graphics displayed in IPython's Qt Console or Python and Julia interacting computer environment such as IPython and Jupyter.
