Salesforce, Microsoft, Zoho: What CRM is better?

Even though we get a small profit line from the cost of each and every use, we really earn our living through services: coaching, adaptation, integration, consultancy, etc. Approximately 600 customers and ten employees work for us. Today there are many great CRM apps and some - like ProsperWorks, Insightly and ugarCRM - that I like but don't sell...especially because we have just about everything we can.

Three of the five we are implementing - Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and Zoho CRM - make up the largest portion of our revenue. So which of these three favorite apps is best for your company? Benefits: Salesforce is the forefather of CRM apps and the best known.

Salesforce is a popular tool in the corporate community, and most large publishers have connections with it. And if you want to do something with CRM, you can probably do it with Salesforce. The Salesforce is the most costly of the three options. Of course, there are under $50 per person per month but if you want to check whether your version from Apples to Apples is the same as Microsoft and Zoho, you need your own company version which is about $125 per person per person per month. What's more, if you want to check the prices of your version from Apples to Apples, you will need to buy your own version of the game.

The majority of Businessforce customers are at the top end of the consultancy rates ladder, and most organizations that truly leverage the performance of the solution are large enough to have both in-house and outside engineering and technical capabilities (and money) at their disposal. A small business (less than 25 users) is probably going to be upset.

Don't tell Salesforce: your selling force is about as violent as a wolf. You' re not gonna get canned when you buy Salesforce. Advantages: If you are an internal Microsoft store - you use Outlook, Exchange, Office, Sharepoint, Bookkeeping, etc. - then it makes absolute sense for you to include Microsoft Dynamics 365 in your mixture.

It is part of Office 365, has the same appearance as many Microsoft applications, is integrated and scaled well and is very adaptable. For me, Dynamics has all the functionality and styling skills most businesses need, and the SW leader has set itself the goal of making Dynamics 365 an important part of its businesses.

One of the releases - which begins at about $40 per person per calendar month if you have the Office 365 Business Edition - is also very competitively priced and there is an available on-premise solution so you don't always have to be in theoud. Over the past two years, Microsoft has thoroughly confused its clients with a comprehensive rebranding of its CRM and Dynamics products line.

There seems to be about as many Dynamics releases as there are colours in a gutter and its kernel CRM has been divided into seperate rows for distribution, services and merchandising, with different releases (and pricing bundles) in each row grouped. Dynamics setup can be a bit of an effort as it still includes some local install functionality - or a headache, whichever you prefer.

The search for the right Microsoft business partners can also be a challenging task, as there are so many with different levels of knowledge. Advantages: I call Zoho "the sales force of the impoverished man," which is probably why it's CRM that my business uses in-house! Zoomo has the most CRM functions that are needed by small and midsize companies, is very adaptable, quick and dependable.

Zoho perhaps has the greatest advantage of being part of a set of built-in tools - from Projectmanagement to Accounts to Recruiting applications - that actually help a business realise the vision of a system that does it all (the company's recently published ZOHO One app is an all-in-one product suite at an amazingly low price).

With more than 30 million users, a burgeoning affiliate network, a wide range of add-on applications, a high-speed portable app and its own e-mail clients, Zoho is compatible with most Microsoft and Google applications. CRM is priced at $35 per person per months (the very competitive $20 per person per months for the high-performance edition of CRM Professional), which makes it very cost-effective.

You' re not gonna find a better crowd than those who work for Zoho. Unfortunately, however, most of their assistance is provided abroad (mainly in India), so our customers (and we have more than a hundred that we service with the application) regularly complain about lags and some communications difficulties in solving them.

They are also in very strong competitive pressure with a number of just as strong CRM apps (such as those listed above). Small and medium-sized companies get high-performance CRM without having to pay the higher fee. Here is your takeaway: Regardless of the cost, if you choose one of the above three items, it is very likely that you will be well.

Instead of going mad for the feature (they usually have the same), take the opportunity to find a good consultant (ahem....) and spend your money on trainings, workouts, trainings and more. You' ll find that just using the out-of-the-box capabilities of these apps with minimum customization is likely to take your business a thousand leagues from where you are now.
