Sign in to your Blogger login to gain instant insight into the Dashboard. Your template's topic choices are available through the Dashboard. Use the down arrows next to Postal History to click and choose Template, then click Customize to open Google's built-in Template Designer. Pick a template that fits your contents. Here you can chose between "Simple", a page with a constant width without many ornaments; "Image window", which uses a photograph as wallpaper for your contributions; "Awesome Inc. "which includes deep colours and text in plain text; and "watermark" which uses a backdrop logotype to display your business.

Browse through the available colour themes at the bottom of the template selection and click the one you want to use as the basis for your website. You can click "Background" to load a wallpaper picture or select a wallpaper colour. If you click on an element of your design in the Colour Schema panel, change the sub-colours one by one.

Dragging the colour selection switch to the hue for each point adjusts the colour. You can click "Layout" on the menu on the far right to create a base for your website. For your blogs, click on the design name. Optionally, you can create a single-column design that only generates a broad pad of top-headed contents, or a three-column design with two side bars for hyperlinks, menu items, calendar, or Widgets.

When you don't have any contents - articles, pictures or a headline - you may not immediately see how the template works. Scroll to the template on the Dashboard. To make customized changes to the CSS for your Blogger-led website, click Edit HTML. Right click anywhere on the page and select Check Item to see which stylesheet rulings have been used on that item.

Switch between Template Designer and the online blogs to make changes. Using CSS, you can change any part of the page from where the headers float to the point of displaying the link and everything in between.
