Frequently plug-ins will include their own widgets. Broadcasts do not need any coding skills or expert knowledge. You must make sure that the themes you are using support Widgets (more precisely: Widgetareas ) before you can insert a Widgeget. This can be done by just browsing to the Appearance submenu and searching for a submenu entitled "Widgets".

Use the following procedure if your design includes support for theme customizer. You can use the real-time change previews in the Topic Customizer. The widget customize screen can be accessed by clicking the widget drop-down box in the Topic Customizer. Use the downwards arrows in the Widget Area to see a listing of widgets that have already been in use.

At the bottom of theidebar, click the Append a Widget icon. Displays the available Widget lists. Select the widget you want to insert. You should be able to browse the sidebars and browse the widegets. You should be able to see the contents of your new Widgets. In order to place the Widgets in the Widebar, either simply click and Drag the desired order, or click the Reorder icon and click the up and down arrows for each of them, then click Done.

In order to customise the Widget functions, click the down right cursor to extend the widget's user surface. In order to delete the Widget, click Delete from the user surface of the Widget in the above procedure. Use the following traditional procedure if your design does not include themes customization: Pick a widget and either drop it in the side bar where you want it to appear, or click the wideget (choose a target side bar if your design has more than one) and click the Add Wide Add Buttons.

More than one side bar may be available, so start with the first one. Notice that the "default" side bar items are now gone and only the new add-on is still there. To add more Widgets, go back to the Widget screen. In order to place the Widget in the Widget Bar or Widget Area, click and drop it in place.

In order to customise the Widget functions, click the down arrows in the top right hand corner to extend the widget's user surface. Click Delete to delete the Widget. Removing the widget but saving it for possible use in the near future simply drags it to the Inactive Widgets area. It is especially useful if you are switching to a topic with fewer or different widgets.

There are often differences in the number and set-up of Widget Areas/Sidebars when there is a change of topic, and sometimes these conflict make the change somewhat more unfortunate. When you have modified the design and there are no specific widths, browse down the page to the Inactive widths area, where all your widths and their preferences have been located.

If you activate accessibility mode using the screen options, you can use the Add and Edit pushbuttons instead of dragging and dropping. Whereas widgets areas usually appear in web page side bars, a design can place widgets areas anywhere on a page. In addition to the standard side bar positions, the Twenty Fourteen topic, for example, has a Widget area in the bottom line of each page.

To place a widget anywhere on your themes that does not have a predefined widget area, you need coding skills and should read the Widgets API section. Click the side bar to which you want to attach the text widget.

Locate the text widget in the widget listing. The widget will appear when you click on it and dragging it to where you want it to appear. Opens and edits the text widget: Use the down arrows to the right of the text widget titles. Specify the text widget name ( option ). Paste the text or HTML into the field or edit what currently exists.

Select the Auto Insertion Text Box to insert any text blocks into an HTML text insert tags (recommended for text). Press Store to store the text widget. If you want to exit the text widget, click Exit. This text widget can contain a wide range of HTML, XHTML, and multi-media hyperlinks and player embeddings such as videos and objects.

Note that the Auto Paragraph Entry checkbox is checked for the second text widget. Running PHP, however, does not work because the widget removes arbitrary codes it cannot view. RSS Widget allows you to include an outside RSS news resource in a widget area of your website, such as your Facebook post, Google+ post or other blog.
