Getting topics

Apply a theme" displays the various installed themes that you can select. If you click on "More topics in the shop", you will be redirected to a list of topics in the Store application. Or continue reading for detailed handwritten directions to help you modify your Gmail design. In the Gmail Mail Start Page menus, click the Preferences button in the upper-right hand corner. Click the Preferences button in the upper-right hand side of the Gmail Preferences window. Dropdown list appears: Choose the Designs item from the drop-down list. You will see the Themes screen: On the Designs page, there are tens of predefined Gmail themes available.

To find an item you like, use the drop-down menu on the right. When you don't see a topic you like, choose the picture with the words "More pictures" to see more topics: Do not use the following kinds of pictures when selecting a theme:

A two-event picture could be too annoying to use in your Gmail wallpaper. Once you have found the topic you want, click on it to choose it. Click the Save icon at the bottom right of the page to save the design to your Gmail interface:

However, they are not restricted to predefined Gmail themes. Use one of your own pictures for your Gmail user area. In the Gmail Mail Start Page menus, click the Preferences button in the upper-right hand corner. Click the Preferences button in the upper-right hand side of the Gmail Preferences window. Dropdown list appears: Choose the Designs item from the drop-down list. You will see the Themes screen:

It is not necessary to browse through the predefined themes, as we will use our own photo for the Google Mail user area. Select the My Photographs item at the bottom right of the display. Select your backgrounds is displayed: When you have stored pictures in your Google+ profiles, you can see these pictures on this monitor.

Choose one of these pictures if you like. In order to use a photograph from your own computer, choose the Upload a photograph item from the top of your computer display menus. In order to choose a picture from your computer file, click on the Choose a picture from your computer button.

A File Upload window appears: Your Topic will reappear and your choice will be at the top right. Press the Save icon on the far side of the Gmail desktop to save your images to your Gmail desktop. Add your photograph to your Gmail interface: I chose the Gmail topic as my subject and the pictures look quite good with a text field for message, but what if it doesn't?

It is also possible to modify the colour of the text field on your Gmail surface. In the Gmail Mail Start Page menus, click the Preferences button in the upper-right hand corner. Click the Preferences button in the upper-right hand side of the Gmail Preferences window. Choose the Designs item from the drop-down list. You will see the Themes screen: Click the text symbol in the middle of the Topics window (it looks like the character "A").

A pop-up window Text Wallpaper appears: Because the text field is currently bright, choose Darkness to switch to the backdrop of the darkness text field. At the bottom of the screen, click Submit to accept your changes. If you choose a text frame wallpaper that is either bright or deep, remember the wallpaper of your design.

In the Gmail Mail Start Page menus, click the Preferences button in the upper-right hand corner. Click the Preferences button in the upper-right hand side of the Gmail Preferences window. Choose Designs from the drop-down list. You will see the Themes screen: On the Designs page, choose the symbol labeled Vignetten at the bottom centre of the page. The pop-up window Add toll sticker appears:

As you move the slide bar further to the right, the borders of the backdrop on your Gmail surface become thinner. You should have your monitor look something like this: There' another modification you can make to your design. The wallpaper can be blurred. In the Gmail menu, click the Settings button in the upper-right hand corner. Click the Settings button in the upper-right hand side area.

Choose Designs from the drop-down list. You will see the Themes screen: On the Designs page, choose the Unsharpness symbol at the bottom centre of the page. The Adjust Blur pop-up window is displayed: That' how your screen's gonna look like: After you' ve made a number of changes to your Gmail experience, you can still go back to the standard Gmail design if you' re fed up with your changes.

In order to revert to the standard Gmail design, click on the Settings symbol in the top right hand corner of the Gmail home page. From the dropdown list, click Designs. Topics is displayed: Use the up and down scrolling bars to browse until you see the standard Gmail topic on the topic display on the left:

Please click on the topic to choose it. Press the Save icon in the lower leftside of your computer monitor to save the design and save it to your computer. The standard Gmail motif will now be restored: As well as modifying your Gmail topic, you can influence the appearance of your incoming mail by modifying the viewing densities or setting up your incoming mail design.

In the Gmail Mail Start Page menus, click the Preferences button in the upper-right hand corner. Click the Preferences button in the upper-right hand side of the Gmail Preferences window. Dropdown list appears: There are three display densities at the top of the dropdown menu: The distance between menus and prompts changes according to which you choose. Click an item to choose it.

When you have a small web browsing area, the view densities can be comfortable or dense, regardless of what you select from the drop-down list. Launch from the Settings drop-down list. Select the Configuration of Incoming Mail item. Select tab to activate the OSD: The news category is displayed in the image area on the right.

Select which news types appear as tabbed pages in your Gmail account by selecting the check box next to the group. On the Select table to enabled you can also select your preferred e-mail address and select the e-mail address to which you want to receive it. You have five ways to customise your Gmail using themes.

Choose a Gmail topic by setting a new one. Use your own photo as a Gmail topic. Modify the Gmail text field wallpaper. Black out the borders of your Gmail wallpaper. Smudge your Gmail wallpaper. If you don't like the appearance of your Gmail after the changes, you can always reset it to its defaults.
