Importing a demo for an overall theme Sometimes the import of the example datafile can be useful for some folks to see how the theme works and to accelerate the process of developing their own or the client's website by just substituting their own contents and pictures for their own. Contains example files for smaller demo niches, which you can find here. Base " example dates are very large, you should consider using the Base Lite example dates, which are a trimmed down versions with all the same layout, but without additional pictures or futile pages.

As soon as you find the imported tml you want to import, sign in to your WordPress Web site and go to Tools > Import to start the import procedure. If you have not already done so, you will be asked to download the WordPress Importer free WordPress plug-in. Then, click the Browse tool bar to choose the example sample Xml datafile that you want to import and click Import and Import Files.

Important: Some of the demonstrations are very large, if your servers can't cope with them or you don't want to fill your servers with a pile of picture data, DO NOT select the checkbox to import and load the attachment data. You will still get a good impression of how the demonstration works, and you will add your own pictures, so it really doesn't make much point to do it.

Importers give you the opportunity to either import our demonstration tool or associate the articles with an already registered WordPress page owner. In each case, we suggest that you associate the post with an active member (ideally your member base, as you are the one working on the site).

You will also see an import attachment dialog that allows you to import an attachment. Select this only if you want to import all images and multimedia contained in our Final Demos. When you see a 502 bad gateways failure when you import the example information, please consult your host organization because it is a server-side failure.

To import the example information, click Send. After the import is completed, you should see a successfully completed import notification. When you import the full example from our demonstration page and have not enabled all suggested plug-ins, you may see a failure import notification. The following example shows that we did not have WooCommerce on our test page and it was actively running, so all WooCommerce product we tried to import did fail.

While this is perfectly ok, since you are not using the corresponding plug-in, it makes absolute sense that the associated example information cannot be read. The majority of demonstrations have special features that are set for the demonstration. Therefore, make sure that you also import the design choices. Of course these are in the " Theme-Options " directory for the given demonstration in the example file - Example.
