How to Install a Theme Wordpress
Installing a Wordpress themeIf you already have a .zip that contains a WordPress theme, you can install it later.
Proceed as follows to install and enable a new WordPress theme via the WordPress admin interface: Login to WordPress as an admin. In Dashboard, click Presentation, and then click Designs. If you want to find a topic with a name, enter the name or phrase in the text field, and then click Find.
You can also use the feature filter to browse for topics. Click to clear the appropriate topic feature checking box, and then click Find Topics. You can, for example, browse by topic by colour, number of column, style, specific characteristics, and more. If you find a topic that you want to install, click Install Now.
It is possible to see the presentation of a topic in the thumbnail without having to install it. Click Enable to enable the new theme. If you want to display your website with the new design turned on, click Go to website. When you have a .zip with a WordPress theme, you can download it to your website and install the theme later.
Browse to the folder where you install WordPress. When you have WordPress in your document's home folder, browse to the public_html folder. When you have WordPress installation in a child folder under public_html, go to that folder instead. Copy the.zip archive into the folder wp-content/themes. Enter the following command:
After uploading the.zip files to another folder, enter this location instead. Enter the following and replace filename.zip with the name of the downloaded file: Login to WordPress as an admin. In Dashboard, click Presentation, and then click Designs. Find the topic, and then click Activate.
