Joomla! 2.5.28 can only be moved in two stages. Migration to 3.5.1 first. Update from 3.5 then. From 1 to the latest 3rd x release with the One-Click-Installer. Use the same steps for scheduling 1.5 to 3.x and the Joomla 1 upgrade.
Ensure that your surroundings meet the Joomla 3 specifications before continuing. Refer to Joomla local install and set up your workplace for Joomla devellopment. lf so, it is okay to perform a "One-Click-Update". Upgrade has its own package, but after upgrade to 3. x they will recognize this and continue to work. However, the expansion has its own package which must be removed in 2.5 and then reinstalled with the Joomla 3.x release once the page has been moved.
Notes on Core Supported Extensions: When you use a Core Supported Extension (Banner, Contacts, Messaging, Newsfeeds, Redirect, Search, Smart Search, or Weblinks) in Joomla! 2.5 and it has been uncoupled in Joomla! 3.4+, Joomla will recognize its use during the update and installation these Core Supported Extentions automatic.
Joomla! 2.5.28 can only be upgraded to the latest Joomla 3. x in two or more stages. Migration to 3.5.1 first. You will then be presented with the 3.6.5 release. Then you will see your Joomla installation, the latest Joomla! release and the update pack address. When the update does not appear, go to Extension Manager Update and click Clear Cache on the Toolbar. The update to Joomla! 3 should now appear.
Press the Install the Update icon. Once the update is complete, you are likely to be signed out by the administrator. Now you will see that a Joomla update has been found hint for a later release of Joomla. Suspend this update for a while. Navigate to the enhancements www. manage.com and click Fix.
