How to use Themify Builder
Using Themify BuilderEither ask your hosting service providers to resize the files to be uploaded, or use FTP to set up the design, see Installing Themes for more information. Once the design is enabled, it should take you to the Themify page. There are four major tab pages under the Topic Options area: Preferences, Skins, Transfer and Demo Import.
You can also find the topic upgrade notifications on the Themify page. Each Themify topic has an automatic updating function. If a topic is available for updating, a hint appears above the Themify pane. In the Themify pane, you will find the topic's release number in the upper right hand corner of the page and the framework's release number in the lower left hand side of the page.
Common Preferences - The General Preferences page lets you customise the Favicon, feed URL, headers and footers, as well as your query category, RSS feed and Google font preferences. Topic Preferences - On the Topic Preferences page, you can adjust theme-specific functions such as WordPress Warehouse Flashlight, RSS exclusion, excluded find field, footing, footer widgets, and more.
Picture Scripts - On the Picture Scripts tab you can deactivate the picture phone book with which we create the presented picture size for you. Twitter - Use the Twitter and Facebook content management to organize your Twitter and Facebook content. On the Themify Builder page, you can enable/disable Themify Builder and omit certain Builder moduls.
On the Twitter Preferences page, you can paste the Twitter API shortcut key (Note: necessary for Themify Twitteridget and Twitter speed dial code). MaterContent - Use the MaterContent page to dynamically append topic contents without having to modify a topic template filename.
For more information about how to make your own skin(s), see Making Design Skins. On the Transfer page, you can save or recover the settings in the Themify window. Options pane information is saved in the repository. The update or new installation of the topic has no influence on the settings made.
You can clear the settings at any point by pressing the RESET settings pushbutton at the bottom of the Themify pane. When you start a new website and want to export the example contents as seen on the demonstration site: From the Themify Panels > View Demos dialog.
Press the "Import Demo" pushbutton. You will see a pop-up window with the following message: "This will import demo and Override current Themify panels settings", simply select "Ok" and the upload procedure will be started. Once the upload is complete, you will see a "Done" screen and your demonstration contents.
Hint: The Demo-Import function imports the contents of the file itself and includes (posts/pages), Themify panels, menu and widget options. Please be aware that for copyrights purposes demo-images are substituted by placeholders. Just load the featured file into the Themify Custom Panels to substitute the wildcard picture. Sample imports may not work on some sites with limited configuration or low power capabilities (i.e. it will block the file imports to the server).
In case the demo image cannot be imported, you can also perform the demo image with WP Admin > Tools > Importer. If you add or edit a message, there is a custom Themify panel under the Contents panel where you can overwrite the "Default Line Mail Layout" setting under Themify > Preferences > Default Layouts.
Configure the slidebar options, the width of the contents, the picture of the features, the dimensions of the picture, and the visible items of the posts, such as titles, date, picture, and so on. In order to append a feature/post picture, just click the Upload icon in the custom area of Themify or select an picture using the Search Library.
Displayed picture is necessary if you want to view an picture in pos-extract modus, slide bar and wide screen. Learn more about featureured images. If you add or edit a page, there is also a custom Themify panel under the Contents Pane that you can use to overwrite the Default Page Layout setting in Themify > Settings> Default Layouts.
Any Themify theme allows you to retrieve entries from any page that is still statical (e.g. you can make a user-defined page). In order to retrieve contributions, click the "retrieve contributions" page in the Themify user-defined area, then choose "all categories" or any one. It can be changed to a user-defined statical page in WP Admin > Settings > Import (see Customizing Front Page for details).
To create the post/page layouts, you can use the Drag&Drop Builder in either back-end or front-end modes. For more information, see the Builder manual. Use Themify Builder in the backend: Beneath the Contents Builder (make sure you store or republish the post/page first) you will find the Themify Custom Panel > Themify Builder tabs as shown in the screenshots below.
B) To use the Themify Builder on the frontend: Display any article or page on the front end (Note: Standard start page of WorldPress is actually a blogs archives page, you need to build a fixed home page to use the Builder on the home page). At the front end, in the upper administration pane (make sure your taskbar is enabled), choose Themify Builder > Turn On Builder.
They see the modular panels sliding up and a raster on the side. Adjustment pane allows you to adjust the design display (e.g. fonts, backgrounds, colors, borders, positions, distances, user-defined styles, etc.). How to get hold of the Customizing Panel: Select WP Admin > Look >Style.
The Customize tab contains the tab pages for " Setup " and " Setup ": See Styling for more information on how to use the Customize Panels. Frequent confusions in the user interface: Notice that if you use the Builder to stylize the modul layout, the Builder design has a higher precedence. If you notice that the Customize window does not work, you can call our support group.
Used to show a logopic picture instead of text: Browse to WP Admin > Look & Feel > Customize > Themify Options > Site Logotype & Tagline. Activate the "Logo Image" selection knob under "Site Logo". How to adjust the submenu navigation: Click on a submenu to be edited or on the shortcut "Create new menu" to add a new submenu (e.g. Start menu).
Insert the menus from the areas on the links (Pages, Pages or Categories, etc.). In order to make submenu hyperlinks, slightly move the submenu to the right (the elements are indented). Once you have finished attaching the menus, under "Topic Locations" > select the "Main Navigation" box to make this your website's top menus.
When you are done, click on " Store menus ". Hints: The user-defined menus can also be used with the widget (go to Appearance and put it in the Customizing menu). Navigate to Appearance menu > Windows Appearances. From the Available section on the right, move the available Wididgets to the right section (e.g. Sidebar, Social Widgeget, Footer Widgeget, etc.). In order to delete the widgets, simply drop the Widget from the Wide Area back into the Available Windows.
To keep the Widget preference for use in the near term, simply drop it on the inactiveidgets instead of the Available ones area - this will store your Wedget preferences.
