Set your WordPress page to email through the GoDaddy mail servers - Part 6#6 - Shared Hosting Schedule

Our latest paper explains how to set up a WordPress site to host at GoDaddy and use a Shared Hosting schedule using the GoDaddy SMTP mail servers. Our example uses the help of the Postman SMTP Mailer/Email Log Mail plug-in. Prior to starting, it is important to me to stress that the information about the GoDaddy SMTP framework when using a sharing hosting scheme has been derived from trials and errors that I implement on my WordPress site hosting at GoDaddy.

The point is that the information about the GoDaddy SMTP infrastucture can be imprecise when using the Shared Hosting. To be on the safer side, I suggest you contact GoDaddyupport. I' m trying to search for information about the GoDaddy SMTP structure, and I have found very little information.

The GoDaddy mainframe ( using a common hosting schedule ) is structured as follows: If you are using a Shared Hosting schedule, you cannot set your WordPress hosted site to communicate with an outside mail client. Outside mail server" refers to any mail servers outside the GoDaddy intranet.

But the way I closed above is to use the Postman SMTP Mailer/Email Log - Connectivity Test. Enclosed is an offer from the GoDaddy technical product section: You must use our relays to email your computer. In most cases, you don't have to care about these options unless something doesn't work or you want to use a different mail servers daemon on your designated computer.

There is a daily limitation of 1000 outgoing email messages on our server. When you need to deliver more than 1000 email messages per 24 hours, please call our service department. Concerning the need to verify users login information, I have managed to set up the Postman SMTP Mailer/Email Log Mail plug-in to mail without specifying users login information.

Because the GoDaddy SMTP servers "trust" the internally hosting WordPress site and are ready to forward the email messages to the target audiences, I expect to be able to do this. Our WordPress website must be configured to automatically notify our subscribers by email. Furthermore, we must also email our corporate clients (external recipients).

This section will discuss how to use the Postman SMTP Mailer/Email Log WordPress plug-in. The following describes how to set up the Postman SMPT plug-in to access the GoDaddy S1 FTP servers as "mail servers" using the SMTP protocols. The following chart shows the preferences and thresholds that we will be configuring in our particular scenario: In this section, we are defining the "identity" of the WordPress originator that will appear in the email to be sent.

The following section checks the procedure by which we check that the mail servers configuration is correct. Our aim is to check whether we are able to successfully dispatch e-mails to the recipients in our company. GoDaddy mail servers successfully receive the email messages. Enter the recipient's e-mail adress in the text field Receiver e-mail adress.

The following screenshots show that the e-mail has been successfully sent to the receiver. Our WordPress page succeeds in creating an SMTP meeting with the GoDaddy mail servers. The GoDaddy mail servers "agree" to receive the email. Now we want to examine what has become of the significance of the "other side" - the side of the target receiver.

The following screenshots show that the e-mail arrives in Bob's inbox. It is important to note, however, that the email is considered "spam mail" and has therefore been moved to the Junk Mail folders! Viewed from the mail server's point of viewof the originator is "suspicious"! Email sent by "suspicious sender", but instead "stamp" the high SCL email.

Spamming level" is indicated by a value called - SCL (Spam Confidence Level). SCL scores are between -1 and 9. Any email that has a 2-9 rating is considered junk email. In order to better explain the cause of this "phenomenon", we will look at the contents of the email headers sent to Bob.

This section discusses a very useful and efficient tool that contains the Postman SMTP Mailer/Email Log Mail plug-in. Its function name is Conectivity Test and the aim of the Conectivity Test is to ensure that we can connect to our preferred mail servers via our dedicated communications port such as 254 and 587.

Furthermore, the Availability Test will attempt to test the communications canal with other publicly available mail server, such as Gmail mail server. The " Connectectivity Test Options " I describe as a very useful and efficient function, because in many cases the WordPress is host by the ISP or it is part of a firewall using a firewall that blocks the mail communications with outside host (port 25, 587).

If you are using "other WordPress Mail plugins" that do not contain this feature, the "Send E-mail Failure" error handling procedure can be very disappointing. It is very difficult to know what is causing the issue in a situation where we are unable to deliver email to the intended recipients. There is no way to be sure whether the issue concerns your login information, your mail client host name, your mail client host name, or a issue with a personal computer that is blocking our communications.

We can see from the results that the target mail servers "lists" with 25 and 587. This means that we have an "open communications channel" to the desired mail servers and that the firewall "authorizes" the use of these communications ports. Therefore, the firewall is not allowed to use these communications channels. The following section will examine the procedure for access to information about mail transactions saved in the log for you.

A feature I like about the Postman SMTP Mailer/Email Login plug-in is the possibility to retrieve the logging files containing details about each mail transactions. Being able to view the logs allows us to deploy a bug fixing mechanism if we are experiencing a "mail communications error" situation for a particular receiver or a particular domains.

The following screenshots show an example for the "documentation" of the mail transactions used. The following screenshots show the "recording" of the meeting that took place between our WordPress page (the Postman SMTP Mailer/Email Log Plugin) and the target mail servers.
