Space for the acquisition of Website Builder Weebly
With more than 625,000 paying subscription customers, nearly 40 per cent of whom are outside the U.S., Weebly will help Square speed up its worldwide growth. Jack Dorsey's other co-founder and CEO, Jack Twitter's Square, has promised to take over San Francisco-based Weebly for approximately $365 million in shares and cents.
WEBLY, for the Unfamiliar, provides utilities that make it simple to create web sites, blogging and shopping sites on-line. Square, the global payment provider for mobiles, today announces that it is purchasing Weebly, its website builder, for 365 million dollars in a mixture of money and stocks.
