Ms. Plagemann is Vogue's CEO and in charge of all of Vogue's revenues, which include printing, publishing, digital, online, as well as publishing, marketing and marketing. Previously, Plagemann had been Vogue's CEO since January 2010 and its excellent history in creating successful Vogue entertainment branding was critical to Vogue's success.
She then took charge of Teen Vogue, which became part of the Vogue Group from 2015-2016. Plagemann has led Vogue to win a number of awards, such as the ASME Magazine of the Year Award 2015 and the General Excellence Award 2013. Condé Nast presented Plagemann with the General Records Profit Award in 2014 and in the prior year she was awarded Condé Nast's first three-year plan to build records for 2010-2012 return on equity and revenue expansion.
Plagemann, together with Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, was ranked 9th in Adweek's Top 50 in 2012, winning both the Condé Nast Verlag of the Year and the Outstanding Business Performance Award 2011. Plagemann was Marie Claire's deputy chairman and publishing director from 2004 to 2009, where she assisted in rebuilding the company's name.
From 2003 to 2004 she worked in the same function for Lifetime Magazines and from 1999 to 2003 for Cosmopolitan Verlag. In 1995 she was Esquire's Head of Promotion and was appointed Co-editor of Promotion. She began her professional life with Mademoiselle, where she occupied various posts.
