Creation of RiSE-compliant website templates
We have made it simple for system admins and members of context permission groups to build customized website templates using themes builders in RPEs. The creation of a customized style sheet created by RAISE allows you to change the logotype, navigational structure, headers, footers and layout of your website without ever needing direct connection to the servers. Please note: You must be licenced to use the themes constructor of RPEs.
Each website submission you build must include a website layout. Layout specifies how each page is organised, while templates specify where certain contents appear. Configured once, the customized style sheet and layout are used on each page of the site. You must first layout a website before you can specify a style sheet.
The creation of a layout for the website templates is similar to the creation of a layout for a page in the Page Builder for a contents record, but there are different styles. In order to create a website layout, you can utilize these styles and enter your own customized styles class. Hint: It is not possible to create a website layout with the supplied styles in IE8.
The Design page of the Web Site Layout pane lets you add important style controls to a Web site layout created by your team. Proceed as follows to customize the website layout: Go to the employee page to go to Related > Topic Builders > Website Layout. Then click New > Website Layout. Choose Define User-Defined Layout.
If you added lines and rows using the toolbar, make sure that you click Store before you start designing a customized layout. Type a caption and descriptive text for the layout. A line is added to the layout by default if no preceding lines have been used. Click the line with the right mouse button to display style items and applied them to the layout.
Hint: There must be a certain full width line for the main content of the website. Clear works in combination with user-defined style items. The application of one of these style may not be visible until the layout is coupled with the site widow's template: clear-right: Enables no hovering items to the right of the specified line. Clear links:
Enables no pending items to the right of the specified line. Cleafix: Expands the bottom of the item to include all suspended items contained within it. You should reserve the second option for the area you want to call second navigation. Those characteristics cannot be used in combination with other styling elements: col-secondary cs-left:
Position your alternate navigation on the leftside. col-secondary cs-right: Places the second navigation on the right side. The area name is displayed in the website style sheet pane to see which contents element corresponds to which zone: For more information about these tags, see Design ing and Using the Original. As soon as style items are used, you can display the resulting HTML page by clicking the HTML button on the Toolbar.
You can also use this page to add user-defined categories and style to be used on the website layout. For more information, see Pasting a customized Web site layout reference. Proceed with formatting the layout, and then click Save and Close. As well as using the style items on the Design page, you can also add user-defined coding to the code page.
Verify the following information before you enter your customized layout code: First day must be present, which surrounds all contents. When you schedule to use the contents element Sekundärnavigation, the first Tag must have the following ID and class: id="masterWrapper" class="wrapper. to use the contents element Sekundärnavigation. User-defined categories, style, tags, and any other user-defined items added to the Codes page are not visible on the Design page.
User-defined items are visible once the layout is linked to the corresponding design that contains the user-defined style sheet. Once you have finished a website layout, you can start to create the website templates. It is also possible to create a copy of the default CitiesStandard or CitiesRepsonsive templates in the Samples directory and then make adjustments to the copy.
Any website templates created by RAISE are displayed in the Publish WST Filename WST Masterpage drop-down list. Please note: To view the default CitiesResponsive and CitiesStandard website templates in this drop-down menu, create a copy of each of the templates from the Samples directory (RiSE > Topic builder > Website templates > Samples) and then insert the copy into the Website Templates directory.
After a few moments, templates appear in the Vorlagen (Master Page) drop-down list. Proceed as follows to build and use a website style sheet created by RiSE: Go to the employee page to go to Related > Topic Builders > Website Templates. Please note: It is advisable to first start by creating a new Website Content folder for user-defined templates.
In this way, the editing rights for templates can be limited to the user(s) you specify. For more information, see Limiting editing authorizations for website templates and layout. Choose New > Website template. Specify the name of the templated document in the WST - Publish file name format. Choose a layout from the dropdown list.
When the layout contains theme-specific style controls, choose the appropriate design from the Preview Design dropdown list. For more information, see Create the layout. Store after selection of a topic. Choosing a new design deletes all previously added contents if the website style sheet has not yet been stored. Start by creating your own templates.
The majority of your site's elements work correctly on the website submission, but there are a few elements that you might want to do first. You will find these contents elements in the Website directory. You can only see this directory if you are in the Topic Builders area of RiSE: MainContent Placeholder - This element serves as a wildcard for each contents dataset or page on the site.
Position this element where you want the page to be. This is the website's principal navigational tool and is usually placed at the top of the page under the Logo and Utility Navigational elements. Tool tip navigator - Place this element where you want to view your services and accounts at.
Examples include Log In, Universal Search, Create Account, Simple Editing and In the Name of. You' re likely to have more than one of these elements of your website with you. To do this, you must use the Utility Navigation contents element twice. Contents display - Displays a select contents dataset in the website presentation.
You can configure the contents to appear on all pages, only on the home page, or only on the inside pages. Default templates CitiesStandard and CitiesResponsive use this contents element to show the bottom line. Secundary Navigations - This element is used to show the secundary navigations. Normally this is shown to the right or right of the main page contents.
When you use alternate navigational guidance for your website, the website layout must have specific design features. For more information, see Insert a customized Web site layout reference. Append all other contents to the website style sheet. Logo-headers - The headers can be generated using a html element.
Use the Html or Display Contents elements to set up your own Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn button. On the HTML page, in the Contents element Contents Html, insert the following code: "title= "Visit our LinkedIn page" target="_blank"> Site Builders > Managing Web Sites. Choose the new website templates from the Template List (Masterpage) dropdown list. Notice: Website templates created by WST-Publish are displayed in WST-Publish filename style.
A few moments may pass before the website submission appears in this drop-down menu. Preconfigure all other styles, and then click Store. Creation of Contents Permission Groups allows system administrators to restrict site templates folder and site layout so that only certain concurrent contributors have permissions. Every member of a permission group can display templates and layout, but the system administrator decides who can modify, remove, or authorize changes to templates and who can make changes to Web page layout.

If you want to limit templates folder to certain user and determine who can layout web pages, do the following: Go from the employee page to RiSE > Service > Contents authorization groups. Build a new CAG ( "Content Authority Group ") or modify an already created group.
Choose a request that contains the user (s) you want to include in the Contents Authorization Group. Start by allocating themes builders roles: Hint: By default, the first member of a new contents permission group is associated with the standard owner, the contents editor, and the topic editor. You must use the theme editor manually for existent BI Content authorization groups.
Visit Related Procedures > Topic Builders > Website Templates. Choose the required website templates directory, and then click Edit. Under Permission Group, choose the Contents permission group that contains the user (s) that are permitted permission to view this website templates directory. For more information about this page, see Contents Files. Once the ad spec editor has started making changes, the changes are copied to the task lists.
The To Do Lists allows system administrator and topic approval authorities to check the changes made. For more information, see Manage the Tasklist of theme Builder. The changes must be accepted before they can be applied to a website presentation by the themed editor. Everyone who belongs to a Contents permission group can see the to-do lists and see another user's to-do lists, but only system admins and topic permissions can make changes to the Topic Builder to-do lists.
Go to the employee page and go to Related > Topic Builders > To-do lists. The following areas are shown for system admins and topic approvers: Hint: These areas are only shown if a corresponding contents is available for the chosen one. Show to-do lists for - Allows you to choose a member of a contents permission group and display their to-do lists.
The to-do lists are empty if a particular is not a system admin or topic generator. Site templates you are working on - Site templates that you last defined and saved and that are still in working order are shown here. Site Templates Waiting for Your Permission - People who are not given the Topic Permit roles cannot post site templates.
The requirements for the publication of templates are set out here for all persons who have the topic approver status in at least one contents permission group to which they belongs. Site templates request deletions - Persons who do not have the topic approver status cannot remove templates. You will see the Organize > Request Clear pushbutton, but using this pushbutton does not really clear the document from its top-level contents directory.
Instead, this activity transmits a delete order for a copy. Those templates delete requirements are set here for all persons who have the topic approver roles in at least one contents permission group to which they belongs. Web site templates that have elapsed or are about to elapse - If you are the associated author of your Web site templates for a specific Web site that has an elapsed date, you will see elapsed notes for that Web site templates here when that date is approaching, when the date actually happens, and at specific times after the date expires.
For each of these areas, it does not make a difference whether you are a member of the Contents permission group associated with the Web site template's top-level contents folder, or whether a Contents permission group is associated with the top-level contents folder. 2.
