History[edit]

Webs, formerly Freewebs, is a free webhost, a mainly stationary webhost, established in 2001. It provides free and world-class website hostings and its own predefined website builder service.[3] What's unusual is that webs do not provide dynamical capacity management in addition to their own dynamical "apps", although they do provide FTP and HTML uploads.

Freewebs switched its name to Web on November 14, 2008, but users' Web addresses stayed in the freewebs.com domains unless they decided to do so. Now new sites get webs.com sub-domains, but the old freewebs.com/sitename file still works, even for new sites. You can also upgrad to a Premier Pack and get a customized Web site without a Web site subtitle.

At the beginning of 2013, the websites were redesigned to reflect the user's experiences with the buildings. In 2015, Webs stopped operating its best-of-breed services, although it continues to both promote them and bill clients for these expired functions. This has led many of Webs' current clients to file a collective lawsuit against Webs.

These functions includes the upload ing of images and videos while many of the web application are no longer available, such as forum, blogs and photos application. Web sites offer their own topics and a site builder as well as a choice of their own dynamical "apps" such as a blogs, a photogallery or a webshop.

As of 2015, all of these topics are no longer consistent with most picture and videofiles, so all website sites are not able to view videos and picture file types properly. Freeware sites are restricted in their functions and also have a web flag at the bottom of the canvas. They offer premier plan with more tool and feature and also allow clients to purchase individualomainnames.
