Switch seconds are settings accurate to the second that are added to the instantaneous time ( "UTC") to synchronise them with the sun's time. As an example, you had the time 23:59:60 on June 30, 2012. Special and general relativity theory is taken into consideration by GPS detectors (in aircraft, automobiles and cell phones) and terrestrial spacecraft to synchronise their time in the 20-30 nano second area.

The reason for this is that spacecraft are in movement in relation to the planets, so viewers on the planets will notice that the time for the spacecraft is slower. Useful for Coordinated Universial Time (UTC). The GMT is Greenwich Mean Time. It is a universally applicable time measurement that holds the standards. Time, in terms of time, is basically the time on the entire surface of the world.

GMT is the time in the time zone of the Greenwich meridian. Within the present computer science issues (and probably most scientifically ), in terms of absoluteness, GMT and TTC have coincidentally equal readings, so they have been used in an interchangeable way. For the most part, GMT was the "main thing" until 1960.

In contrast to GMT, which is predicated on the time of the sun and was initially computed as a split second of the time it took the Earth to complete a complete revolution around its orbit, GMT computes a second as "the length of 9192631770 cycles of radiative energy corresponding to the passage between the two hyper-fine planes of the earth's caesium 133 atom".

1972 Lapseconds were implemented to synchronise time between the sun and ATC. Those two turning points (different definitions of a second and the insertion of leak seconds) compelled the GMT to be the same as the GMT, basing itself on a seemingly progressive, silent conventions. Today, if you calculated the real GMT, I would see it on the basis of its initial 1 second = 1/86400 day formulation and this would certainly give a different value than what gives us GMT at that time.

In this respect, the name "GMT" appears outdated but is retained for backward compatible purposes, the traditionally time zone-based presentation of time and sometimes also for regulatory purposes. The UT1 is the most accurate version of time. The UTC+14 is the year-round Christmas Island (Kiribati) and Samoa's summers in the northern part of the world.
