ViXEdit is an editor for the Windows Installer WiX tool set of MSI and MSM setup package creation sources for Windows Installation WiX. WiixEdit tries to make WiX HTML processing easy and understandable for everyone. With little or no WiX or even WiX awareness, you can make MSI installation packs for your music!
The WixEdit is the only WiX HTML file processor actively in development. WixEdit includes a new assistant that will help you build new WixEdit file from the ground up. Assistant will help you build a working installation with a few mouse clicks, containing a list of working installation items such as links, directory, user and more!
Let me know which template you want to see in the assistant, or better give me small examples which can be created! Our primary objective is to support MSI installation engineers with the WiX tool set. The WiX sources editing tutorial will give you a better understanding of your installation program.
It' still going to be necessary to have some WiX tool set know-how, but the application will help to view the data in a better way and keep a better view when browsing through the tools. However, for basic installs, the assistant will lead you to a working install. Because WixEdit is an open source site, maybe you want to add something?
