Squarespace | 4 Things You Should Know Before You Begin (Graphic) With over 500 professionally looking designs to select from, Wix offers a very wide selection of industry sectors including Business & Service, Web shop, Photo, Gastronomy, Catering, Portrait, Portfolios, Blog, Musical, etc. This way you can find a matching theme that fits what your website is about. Each template looks very professionally designed and is preset with proposed designs, so you can get started right away without worrying about how to organize your game.

So, if you're not sure how best to build your website, this is a really great thing for you. The only thing you need to do is either substitute the proposed contents with your own or move the contents to make your own custom, distinctive look. Please be aware that Wix template do not react on the move, but they have an extended portable UI and an authoring tool that allows you to customise your own portable look and feel.

Fortunately, one progressive thing we really like is that Wix allows you to fade out contents when you don't want them shown on cell phone - giving you agility to what you want to show your guests (especially portable screens have naturally restricted screen properties). A disadvantage of the Wix submission is that after selecting and using a submission, you can no longer modify submissions without having to recreate your work.

So, although you can modify themes, you can't move your contents from one style to another. This is mainly due to the fact that you can move your contents to any location on your website using just drag-and-drop (while Squarespace is more organized and does not allow you to place your contents freely).

The restriction of this creative liberty is that you cannot transmit contents from model to model. Make sure you select the best one before you start! Although Squarespace only has over 40 artwork and over 20 cover page styles (compared to Wix's 500+ designs), all of them are beautiful and can give your site users the feeling that you've spend tens of millions of dollars customizing your site.

Unlike Wix, Squarespace has chosen the "quality before quantity" principle in its collections of models. So, while you have much less to pick from, every Squarespace style sheet you use is of very high fidelity. Disadvantage over Wix's large library of artwork is that you have less chances of locating the precise artwork you are looking for.

Like Wix, Squarespace provides corporate space for companies, shops, portfolios, musicians, eateries, etc. This way you can find your preferred pattern on the basis of your proposals. Squarespace's complete range of drafts is fully portable. That means your website will look great on all your portable device without you having to move a single thumb.

Your contents are adapted to the requirements of the screen automatic. Disadvantage of these template is that you have no controll over how your contents are shown on your portable device (Wix gives you this flexibility). However, the advantage is that you have less to do and less to worry about, as the portable screen of your website takes over.

Squarespace gives you the flexibility to modify your own style sheets, and all your current contents are copied to the new style sheet instantly. Advantage is that if you want to revise your theme (by selecting a different template), all you have to do is choose the new theme, make some adjustments to the look and feel, and you're done.

With a " clean " draft & fall UI, you can place any type of contents (such as pictures, text, button, slide shows, socio keys, etc.) virtually anywhere on your website without having to type a line of text. So as such, you have a great deal of creativity and style flexibility and style oversight, with very little restriction on the placing of your work.

If you are not sure how a utility works, there are easy-to-understand Tutorials right next to the utility, and you don't have to open a new browser to get to your Help Center (more on your help below). Square Space is also a Dragging & Dropping Website builder, so you can build your website without having to touch a line of coding.

As already noted, their platforms are somewhat more organized, so you can move your contents by dragging and dropping, but all contents have to be placed side by side or on top of each other. It' s more of a module based architectural event where the system will " lock " your contents in placeutomatically.

With Wix, on the other hand, you can place your contents anywhere on your computer monitor and stay there (your platforms do not move or lock the contents). The positioning of the contents of Squarespace is therefore somewhat restricted in this respect. Overall, Squarespace is still quite simple to use, although it has a slightly higher learn curve. What's more, it's a little easier to use.

However, if your telephone assistance is available at a specific point in your life, you can arrange a telephone call back for them. Another thing to consider when evaluating Wix's intentions is the concierge-like technical assistance group. Whatever you pay for is our face-to-face technical assistance, which we think is a great way for you to get your website up and running and have a great time. The Squarespace offer you 4 different pricing options (Staff $12/month, Busines $18/month, Basic Store $26/month, Advanced Store $40/month).

Please be aware that Squarespace does not have a free map. You should allow 14 working days to decide whether Squarespace is the right choice for you. Square Space offers you unrestricted bandwith across all your schedules, which is definitely less limiting than Wix. Remember that once you have signed up to Squarespace's chargeable schedules, you will have 24/7 contact with their 24/7 technical assistance staff, with 1 hours reaction via e-mail and online chats.

Thus you not only pay for a way to create your website, you also get great services/support along the way.
