Cascading StyleSheets (CSS) is another declaration language: it is a versatile, high-performance, and reproducible method to stylistically manipulate the look and feel of HTML markups. Whatever else is real about your WordPress page, it is the use of PHP on the web site to create and assemble your pages. Therefore, the most important thing is to really comprehend WordPress. Per default, it displays the results of its operation in an HTML page, which the web site then displays to your website users.

In WordPress topics, the fundamental logics and structure of PHP are what is really important. Once the PHP files are processed by the PHP servers, they will simply show this material to the visitors, just like a normal HTML page. For this reason, the HTML within the first PHP conditioned instruction, if (true), will be displayed on the page (because True is true), but the HTML within the second instruction, if (false), it will not (because Fake is not true).

There is much more to be understood about PHP, but this gives you an introduction. The JavaScript was developed to program the behaviour of HTML pages after they have called the visitor's web navigator. If, for example, you click something and it vanishes, takes on a different colour, or runs out into a larger thing, it's most likely JavaScript at work.

WordPress topics can work perfect and run very well without using JavaScript. However, as with most web pages you will see more and more JavaScript in WordPress topics and the heart of WordPress itself. JavaScript enables much faster interaction and the feeling that the page really works and responds to the user.

When you are studying WordPress, you will mainly want to familiarize yourself with the other three language versions, where HTML and CSS are usually obligatory components and PHP is the place where much of the intellectually interesting hard work takes place.
