Post Slug in WordPress - What is it?
Mail Slug is the user-friendly and URL-valid name of a mail. One of the most frequent uses of this function is to generate a permission link for each posting. You can activate permanent links via the " Permanent links preferences. As soon as this is done, the slug replaces the wildcard "%postname%" in the user-defined permission link tree. As soon as the permission links are activated, the mail UL L appears under the mail heading in the mail edit window, as here: You can also change your posting slug on the posting page by pressing the Quick Edit icon below a posting.
The fast edit opens under the article heading, where a member can edit the mail slug. A postlog can be especially useful if the mail heading is really long or often changes. As soon as it is definied and the article is released, the postal slug should not be modified anymore.
When it is modified, the same contents will be posted on several pages and all of your older page references will be interrupted because the permission link to your contribution is now different.
