Among the most frequently debated issues we see when participating in WordCamps and other meetings is what is better for SEO: Category vs. tags? What is the differences between category and tag? What is the optimum number of WordPress catagories? Does it work to allocate a contribution to several different catagories? Are there any limits to the tags we can allocate to each contribution?
How do tags work like subkeywords? Is there an inherent benefit to using category over tag usage or the other way around? Hopefully, if you've ever had these unanswered question, they'll be replied to once you've read this article, so you can make changes to your own blogs if necessary. Prior to discussing any of the above issues, we need to be able to comprehend what category and tags are.
The WordPress vocabulary refers to both category and tag as a taxonomy. Your primary goal is to organize your information to make your site more user-friendly. This means that when a visitor comes to your site, they can navigate through your contents by subject instead of navigating in chronological order as the blog was originally set up.
What is the differences between category and tag? Category are intended for a wide grouping of your contributions. Cathegories are there to help you see what your blogs are really about.
